A Rainbow Loom is a kid trend that was all the rage in the summer of 2013. According to Catharine Clifford on the website Entrepreneur, Choon Ng created the Rainbow loom. He was apparently in his basement many nights trying to come up with new patterns to show his wife Fen Chan that they should invest in it. After many tries that didn’t work he decided to give her a ring which made her say an absolute yes. The first Rainbow Loom bands arrived in 2011 weighing 2,000 pounds. In July of 2012 O’Haras placed an order for $10,000 worth of Rainbow Looms which got the whole thing started. By 2013 everyone had this fantastic toy and if you didn’t you wanted one.

It is a plastic loom where kids can make different bracelets or mini figures or any other creative structure with any color of band you could find. It comes with the loom, a hook, some bands, and some connectors. You would weave these little bands into a colorful splash of rainbow on the object you were making using the hook to weave and the connectors to keep your object from falling apart once it was made. Then you are done and can wear your creation to any place you want!

From the most advanced to the easiest bracelet to make, the rainbow loom was enjoyable. If you run out of ways to make a bracelet you could just look for videos on how to make another type of bracelet. In the end the Loom was a big hit. Did you or someone you know ever have a Rainbow Loom? Comment below! and Happy Valentines Day!!!
